Dress Rehearsal

DRESS REHEARSAL IS TUESDAY JUNE 16th @ Riverside High School  300 Country Club Drive Ellwood City PA

Please read this IN FULL for all the details to ensure dancers have a smooth & FUN recital!

Please arrive BEFORE your first event of the night starts with hair and makeup ready to check in, pickup your parent packet and find your dressing room. We cannot hold any part of rehearsal if you arrive late.

3:30PM - ALL LITTLES & PRESCHOOL dance students will run their dances FIRST in this order:

  • Little Neighbors - Ages 2-3

  • Rainbow Connection

  • Little Neighbors - Ages 3-5

  • Rubber Ducky

4:30PM - ALL STUDENTS line up to practice the final bow - please be in the auditorium NO LATER THAN 4:30PM to be lined up by class, alphabetically by first name. We encourage all students to do this on their own - only parents of Littles/Preschool may assist their dancer if necessary.

Note: dancers will wear the LAST costume they perform in for the final bow at recital. It is not necessary to put this costume on for dress rehearsal bow. We recommend wearing your recital t-shirt or other studio gear as we will be taking a FULL STUDIO PHOTO on stage after we rehearse our bow.

After practicing our bow, all dancers will remain ON STAGE for this photo and to be announced by class to walk down the red carpet and receive their collectible recital button from Miss Lori! After receiving their button, they will walk down the steps and sit in the student section of the auditorium for the celebration ceremony.

We will have a Chapter One celebration ceremony where we will recognize:

  • Staff

  • 1st, 5th & 10 year dancers

  • 2026 Outstanding Students - (chosen by teachers - receives a special t-shirt)

  • 2026 Heart of Dance Award - (nominated by students - receives a plaque & $250 scholarship)

  • 2026 Student of the Year - (chosen by Miss Lori - receives a plaque, t-shirt & $500 scholarship)

Once the ceremony has finished, our Littles and Preschool dancers are free to leave! All other dancers should head backstage & put on their first costume. Hair & makeup should be ready BEFORE you arrive to the school (put lipstick on AFTER you put your costume on). We will start within 15 minutes after our ceremony concludes.

We will then run the recitals in order starting with Act One followed by Act Two. Note: we will not be re-performing Littles, Preschool and previously competed solos/duos/trios. When we get to Act Two, we will not be re-performing dances that were in Act One. This means there is less time to change (but will save you from being here all night). Please change into the next costume right away.

Once your dancer has performed ALL of their dances, you are free to leave. Please check out where you checked in before you leave.

As a reminder, photos/videos are ONLY permitted at dress rehearsal and not the actual show. Only parent with wristband is permitted in the auditorium during dress rehearsal - if additional family members would like to attend, wristbands are available for $5 ea.

We want to ensure you and your dancer leave dress rehearsal feeling confident for a great recital!
